Your Opportunity
Sidel is looking for a Sourcing Engineer that will act as interface between Engineering, Direct Sourcing
and Suppliers in innovation and/or development programs to manage sourcing activities and
prepare procurement. Support the early involvement of suppliers in development of new products, with
the aim to achieve the best in class supply in terms of quality, cost and procurement lead time.
Ensure successful execution of Commodity strategies for every new equipment development program.
Your Mission
- Analyze the scope of supply to source (C/O, new & modified modules) and develop tactics to
reach the program targets - Support the Program Manager / Platform Owner to define equipment and modules costs targets
- Lead, develop and implement the sourcing plan for each assigned NTD/NPD program
- Establish working relationship with Engineering to ensure the availability on time for all drawings
and technical specs - Manage RFQ, involving Commodities as applicable, negotiate prices, evaluate, and select suppliers
offers - Ensure early involvement of suppliers in design/development phase to achieve material
quality & cost targets - Assess all the supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans to share with Supply Chain
- Define the Make/Buy strategy on the scope of supply with internal relevant stakeholders in Supply
Chain - Support Procurement in monitoring the delivery of the items for prototype/pre-serials and manage
delivery issues with suppliers - Monitor and report on Equipment cost (learning curve) and manage cost reduction activities on
behalf the Program Manager - Support Supply Chain in the establishment of a procurement plan compliant with the Industrial
Leadtime - Provide report and KPIs on sourcing activities for each program tollgate
- Administer the sourcing master data in SAP (IR / SL) to allow to issue the orders by Procurement
Your Profile
Level of education and languages:
- Master’s degree or equivalent
- Degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Automation
- Excellent English, written and spoken.
- Fluency in French or Italian is an advantage.
Required experience and skills:
- 0 to 5 years of work in a sourcing or engineering role
- Experience in project management is a plus
