Your Opportunity

Sidel is looking for a Project Manager Execution & Proposals, to help us to drive day to day operations for all Sidel portfolio from business opportunity identification to project closing. At the beginning, 70-80% of your focus will be on execution: responsible for driving day-to-day new Equipment Project Management operations from order intake (OI) to project closing (CPA), including on-site activities management. Ensure deliverables are being achieved at the expected quality, schedule and cost and to stakeholders’ satisfaction. 20-30% on proposal: responsible to design (together with manufacturing business unit and other support team) and present (together with Sales) the most suitable technical solution for the Customer, which maximizes the competitiveness, customer satisfaction and market share for Sidel. The weight between execution and proposal is subject to be balanced based on actual business requirement.

Your Mission

Execution:

  • Accountable for S-Q-C-D Projects deliverables for the assigned new Equipment Projects:
        (S) H&SE -  Required Health & Safety, Environmental standards are being met. H&SE plan in place prior to the start of project           
        (Q) Quality - Deliverables are being met to defined specifications from the first time. Project scope and specifications are clearly defined     
        (C) Cost - Project deliverables, including on-site activities are being completed within the project baselined cost
        (D) Delivery - Deliverables are being completed within the project schedule timelines
  • Ensure all required statutory and regulatory conditions are being met, including Sidel corporate values, governance and processes
  • Ensure risk assessment and response plan are in place for critical projects. Accountable to drive risk management and mitigation
  • Manage, support and coach the assigned team, driving the relevant competence development & utilization. Eliminate roadblocks for team
  • Support the Team in managing scope changes without affecting the baselined objectives and benefits, resolve conflicts 
  • Regular and timely reporting to the Stakeholders. Drive Technical issues escalation follow up calls with Global Product Support
  • Monitor and ensure all Sidel Project systems are regularly updated, such as SAP milestones, GIB, SINCRO and OPD

Proposal:

  • Understand customer needs and assist in matching with Sidel portfolio
  • Prepare project specifications, costing, installation schedule, contract revision and order confirmation
  • Prepare budget quotation and commercial offer in collaboration with Sales force, in preparation for negotiations 
  • Ensure project technical support and quality, cost and delivery level in front of Customer
  • Main entry point for all technical aspects and communications with Sidel stakeholder
  • Give instructions to the Design office for definition and layout 
  • Ensure data collection for project launch and handover with Project Execution
  • Manage project risk and contingency plan as per contract and offer 
  • Feed and update project management reporting tools 

Your Profile

Level of education and languages:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Degree in Engineering preferred 
  • Good level of English and Japanese
  • Knowledge of French or Italian of Work Area preferred 

Required experience and skills:

  • MI-PMP certified is a plus
  • Min. 5 years of experience in project management as project manager, experience in project management of large-scale projects 
  • Experience in food and beverage industry is a plus
  • Experience on PET or Can & Glass Packaging Equipment is a plus
  • Knowledge of Sidel Portfolio and Systems design is a plus
  • Knowledge of installation and commissioning scope and challenges
  • Knowledge of project financials
  • Able to travel (up to 50%)
